All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Greetings on this day 2 of the 2025-2026 school year here in the state of Florida! This year got off to a good start with a few challenges, but overall a good day. Susan is a bit frazzled as this year finds her back in the classroom for a time as we orient a new teacher this year. Yesterday was the first day for 42 Trinity Tots, 5 teachers, 1 assistant and 1 after school attendant. Three of our staff are new to Trinity Tots this year, all are doing great! We are blessed to have so many talented staff members who love Jesus and love our Tots! This year I will be meeting with each student teach them about prayer and providing them with a simple glow in the dark cross and a $5.00 gift card for the “Cherry on Top” ice cream store in the Journal Plaza.
There will be a “Celebration of Life Memorial Service” for Harold Hurm on Saturday August 23rd, at 11:00AM here at Trinity Lutheran Church. Memorials may be in Harold’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church. Amanda has agreed to purchase two Tibouchina Trees for the front of the church. These are beautiful blooming trees that bloom purple once or twice a year. They will add some much needed color to the front of our church.
What an outpouring of support for both our Green Dragon Den food collection and our Manna Ministry support already this year. The Dragon Den continues to provide easy to fix food items for students who receive a food back pack each week from the middle school. And for the month of August we are collecting all kinds of cereal for Manna Ministry. These are both worthy programs that we support here at Trinity Lutheran Church.
This past Sunday everyone on this mailing list and everyone who was in church on Sunday received a financial update from our past treasurer and current treasurer. This was sent out to help everyone understand the serious financial situation we find ourselves in this year going into August. This is the same information shared with our church council last Thursday. As the note indicated this was provided as a result of a member requesting periodic financial updates.
Starting in the first Sunday in September Adult Bible Class will resume at 8:30AM. Unfortunately the study I wanted is no longer available so I am searching for a study from Right Now Media. I will let you know and send out a study guide (I hope).
