All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Happy Monday August 18th, 2025! We are thankful that the Hurricane Erin is staying out to sea skirting some of our favorite tropical destinations. But this is a reminder that everyone needs to be prepared in case we get a storm in the months ahead. Know where you can go to be safe. The Church is not a shelter. The closest special needs shelter is at the Agri Civic Center. At times they may open the Lake Placid High School, but that is considered a shelter of last resort. And remember if you feel that a hotel would be a good safe place, if the power goes out you will be walking up and down the stairs to your floor and room. Just a thought. Listen to the radio and TV reports.
Please remember that there will be a Memorial Service for Mr. Harold Hurm on Saturday August 23, 2025 at 11:00AM.
Throughout my ministry I have tried to encourage people to attend Bible Study and study their Bibles and or do devotions at home. I read through two or three devotions each day and spend time studying the Word each day. But fewer and fewer people seem to want to come to a Bible Class. I will be starting up Sunday Morning Bible Study again in September. The Study will be on the Armor of God. So plan on attending at 8:30AM each Sunday. But I have attached a 365 Days Bible Reading plan for all of you. Read it, download it, use it and it will enhance your understanding of Scripture.
In preparation for our series on the Augsburg Confession I have attached all the Articles of the Augsburg Confession. I will not be preach on all the articles, but you can get a head start of reading them at your leisure.
OK! Have a Blessed Week. My sermon for Sunday is attached.
