All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Good afternoon! You have heard me mention the Joy FM 91.7 locally which is a Christian 24/7 radio ministry. Last week as I also mentioned they did there annual “T-Shirts for Turkeys” drive in 4 states. All the turkeys either frozen or paper which is $15.00 this year amounted to 36,425 turkeys which is I believe a 26% increase over last year. Last year the paper turkeys (cash donations) was only $10.00. The collection was far better than last year and will feed over 300,000 individuals they estimate. All the Turkeys collected here in Highlands County stay here in Highlands County. This is an amazing outpouring of love and support for the people of the 4 different states.
Please remember that the Church Council desires to form a “50th Anniversary” committee. Pam Bradshaw is looking for volunteers to help her on this committee, so please volunteer! Thanks!
