All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this 1st day of December!  So many things to do so little time to get them done!  Our Trinity Monthly Newsletter was packed with many events, but there a few more that Susan ask me to share with you!

  1. Christmas Choir Rehearsals start this Wednesday December 3rd, at 3:00PM right before our Advent service which begins at 4:00PM.  Let’s have a big choir this Christmas Season!
  2. Please remember our Advent Mid-Week Services begin at 4:00PM for the next three Wednesdays!
  3. Cookie Dough orders are to be picked up this Friday December 5th, between 11:00AM and 1:00PM if at all possible.  If you cannot make it at these times please call the church office.
  4. We are under a time crunch this month for our collection for Manna Ministries.  They need personal hygiene items to make up packages for people this Holiday Season.  We really need your donations by December 14th, 2025 so the items can be taken to Manna and the packages prepared.  Thank you!

A huge thank you goes out to the wonderful people who showed up early Saturday morning to decorate the sanctuary for Christmas.  Thank you so very much!

As I mentioned on Sunday Pastor Olckers is home recovering after a whirlwind of hospital proceedures and surgery.  I encouraged him to stay home and rest for the next several week and regain his strength.  If you want to send him so encouraging words you may mail it to 1012 W. Oak Street, Arcadia, Florida 34266.  His email is ko******@*******al.com .

As December opens before us we also begin Trinity’s 50th Anniversary Year celebration.  We will begin celebrating on January 18th, 2026 at Rev. James Guelzow will be with us to preach that day.  Pastor Guelzow is the founding Pastor of Trinity and would come from Okeechobee to help the fledgling congregation get off the ground.  Following the service we are planning a light luncheon in the Trinity Life Center.  Pam Bradshaw is heading this committee for the luncheon and would love to have some more people help with the planning and set up.

We have had Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, today is Cyber Monday and tomorrow is Giving Tuesday.  Perhaps you and your family can “Give” an end of the year contribution to Trinity Lutheran Church.  Perhaps you had a milestone this past year, or you are thankful for some event or something else in you family.  Susan and I are thankful for 45 years of marriage this past August or I am thankful for 69 years of life, and 42 years of public ministry.  So we have a choice of “Giving” opportunities.  Perhaps you can “Give” according to your blessings in 2025!

Well I will not take any more of you time today!  Not sure if we will be live streaming the Mid-Week Advent Service, but I have attached my Sermons for both Wednesday and Sunday for you edification and devotional thoughts.

See you Wednesday and have a great week!
