All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greeting on this final Tuesday of January 2026!  I always find it amazing how fast the month of January evaporates each year.  January seems like we just get started and before we realize it, the month is over.  We still have a few days left in the month, let’s make it memorable do something that would bless someone else before the month ends!

Sunday I announced that at the recent Church Council meeting that we would do a $20,000.00 fund raiser in celebration of our 50th Anniversary!  The funds raised will be used to purchase a new carillon system for the church, approximately $11,000.00 installed.

Additionally we are looking at purchasing a worship library of hymns and liturgies to be utilized when Susan or a substitute is not available.  This would come as an add on to the Lutheran Service Builder program that we use to help organized and publish our worship services.  It is a product of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod publishing house Concordia Publishing.

And finally we want to make a donation to the Florida Georgia District for the new $10,000,000.00 endowment that they are establishing to assist with starting new churches or church initiatives.  They will also be providing increased scholarship opportunities for the training and education of professional church works pastors, parochial school teachers and other church professionals.  There is such a shortage of Pastors right now.  Last year there were soe 580 LCMS congregations with the ability and desire to call a Pastor and there were only 84 Pastors graduating from our Seminaries.  Additionally approximately 200 pastors retire each year, including me in the future.  The pastor’s who go the traditional accepted route towards ordination go four years to undergraduate school/college and then three years of classroom training and field work with an additional year of practical training as a Vicar in a parish somewhere in the country.

Everyone will have the oportunity to donate to the $20,000.00 goal and will be receiving a special envelope this week to maie such a donation in the weeks ahead.

For the month of February we will be collecting canned fruits, vegetables, soups, and meats for Manna Ministries.

We have the Country Fair Bratwurst booth coming up in one week at the Lake Placid Country Arts and Craft Fair at the circle.

A sign-up sheet for people to assist at this booth is on the bulletin board outside church office.

FYI the proceeds from this bratwurst booth is used for the CHURCH to do special events.  This is not a Trnity Tots fund raiser it is intended to help underwrite special programs and events held by the Trinity Lutheran Church.

There are other exciting things coming before April for Trinity.

Please remember your Steps of Faith Denial Folders.  $5.00 or$10.00 a week for 20 weeks is all we ask.
