All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this President’s Day 2026!  I did a quick search this morning and I found that there has never been a Lutheran United States President, at least not one who said they were Lutheran.  My research indicated that the denomination with the most Presidents is Episcopalian.  Several Methodists a few Baptists but no President identified at an Atheist.  Just some useful trivia for your day.

Yesterday was a great day to be in church.  We had 151 in worship (I personally think it look like more) which is great.

Recently I was also informed by told by our Webmaster that we have been averaging over 3,000 hits on our webpage in recent months, which he states is MegaChurch numbers.  In reference to our Webpage www.trinitylp.org when you are away or back up north you can click on our webpage from anywhere and watch our Sunday Service broadcasted on Facebook.  Additionally we have added a link that you can use to donate financial resources to the church even when you are not here in person.  So check out our Webpage for information (we have to upadate some of the personel for Trinity Tots) about Trinity and what is happening.

This Wednesday at 4:00PM we will be having our first Mid-Week Lenten Service, Ash Wednesday, for the 2026 Lenten Season.  This Wednesday you will be able to receive “ashes” on you forhead during our worship service.  This year we will be examining the silent witnesses to Jesus Passion.  This first week we will be hearing from “The Thorn”.

If you are a NEW Winter Resident or a NEW Communicant or Associate member of Trinity within the past 3 years we need you to take a moment and have you picture taken after church so we can update our Pictorial Directory.

I am told that there will be TICKETS available Sunday for the Ladies Guild Drive Thru Chicken Dinner on Wednesday March 18th at Hartzell’s Meat Market on Interlake Blvd.  This past week they ran our of tickets.  So if you did not get your tickent do not despair as there will be more available this coming Sunday.

Please remember our 50th Anniversary Capital Fund Drive where we are trying to raise $20,000.00.  There are Love Offering envelopes in the narthex and on the bulletin board outside the Church Office.

Steps of Faith, $5.00 or more dollars a week since the beginning of Advent through Lent can be turned in before or during Holy Week.  These monies are used to enhance our ministry opportunities.

This Sunday is a non-Communion Sunday which means that there will be a fellowship hour following worship this week.  Plan on staying and having some fellowship and maybe meet someone new that you don’t know.

I have attached my sermon for Sunday.

Bible Study on the Book of Jude begins at 8:30am at the rear of the church.
