Greetings on this final Monday of September! For those of you who were not in church yesterday following the service it was announced that I set my retirement date for April 4th, 2027, the Sunday after Easter. Everyone will be hearing more about what needs to be accomplished in preparation for “Calling” a Pastor. I have attached my retirement letter that I shared with the Church Council.

In my retirement letter I quoted a saying “you are what you do, not what you could do.” It was a simple sentence that hung above my band director’s desk. But it was more than just a saying to me, it pushed me forward in life. I know so many people, who talk a big talk but they do very little. Their intentions may be good, but they really never accomplished anything.
