All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this wet and soggy 1st Monday of November!  I am not complaining about the rain because we certainly need it here in Florida.  All I will say is be careful because there is a flash flood warning until 1:45PM for Highlands County.  Drive with caution if you must go out.

If you ordered any cookie dough items they will be arriving on Tuesday morning at 11:00AM.

Mr. Bob Zulhkes’ daughter was in church yesterday and told us that Bob will be celebrating his 93rd birthday in January 2027.  She wanted me to include his address so you can send him a birthday card.

Mr. Bob Zulhke

Susan wants to clarify the matching gifts from Thrivent.  Thrivent Financial will match your monetary gift of any amount up to $999,999.99 dollar for dollar.

The date to do this is ONLY Tuesday, December 1st, 2026!

Anyone can have their gift matched; YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE A THRIVENT CUSTOMER.

AUNTS, UNCLES, GRANDPARENTS, PAST ALUMNI, ANYONE!

All matching money received will go to make up the shortfall for Trinity Tots this year do to a decline in enrollment of 3 year olds.

You have the opportunity to help others in our county who are having “food insecurities”.  On November 9th, 2026, from 5pm-7pm at Dee’s Place in Sebring the Joy FM (a Christian Radio Station) will be collecting Turkeys.  You can bring a turkey or $15.00 (yes, you can get a T-Shirt in exchange).  If you would like Susan and I will take all donations from you to help in this campaign to the location on November 9th, 2026, at Dee’s Place.  There will be a basket at the rear of the church one more week for all donations.

In direct relation to this endeavor The Lake Placid High School SGA has taken on as a their state project “food insecurities of our community and county”.  They have invited me and others to attend a luncheon where we will have a round table discussion concerning how the community can come together to address issue confronting so many in our community.

Due to the health issues that I am facing we are postponing once again the restart of Bible Study to DECEMBER 6TH, AT 8:30AM.

Have a great remainder of your week, stay safe!
