All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this Easter Monday.  Holy Week was a true blessing for so many of those who attended and participated.  My thanks to everyone who worked so very hard to bring the Passion of our Lord to life for so many.  Very special thanks to Susan who worked so very hard behind the scenes to ensure everyone had a meaningful Lent/Easter.

Thank you to everyone who turned in their Advent/Lenten Denial folders.

We are so close to reaching our 50th Anniversary goal of $20,000.00.  We are only short about $1,500.00.  We will be dedicating our new Carilon on Sunday as if first played Easter Morning.  It is my prayer that it will continue to ring out the songs of faith for many years to come.  Thank you to everyone who has and is going to help us reach our goal of $20,000.00.

Yesterday Rev. Olckers spoke to President Bradshaw, Susan and myself before the service telling us that he has decided retire.  He has prayerfully sought God’s guidance and came to the conclusion that his eyesight is failing him so rapidly he has no other choice.  Rev. Olckers will not be with us this coming Sunday April 12th, but will be here on the 19th and his final Sunday will be April 26th, 2026.  Rev. Olckers will be preaching one last time on the 26th as a farewell to the congregation.

Following the service we will have a cake bidding farewell to Pastor.  If any of you have any rememberances, cards or gifts you would like to give to Pasrtor this would be the time to share them with Pastor.  Pastor Olckers will continue to reside in Arcadia with his wife Maritta and will attend Grace Lutheran Church where Pastor Anthony Arias is the Pastor.

Sorry this is late getting out today, but today was get some other things done day that I have not been able to get done for several weeks now.  Have a great remainder of your week.

Several people requested the poem from my Easter Sermon, I attached the whole sermon.

I have also attached the sermon for next Sunday based on the Gospel lesson.
