All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,
Happy 1st Day of May! I wanted to give you a quick update about a few things.
Rev. Olckers eye surgeon said that he felt the surgery was sucessful, only time will tell. Pastor has to rest and stay quiet for several days. They do not know how much sight he will have, but he is optimistic.
Our Webmaster Joseph Rodick informed me today via email that we have peak days of 1500 views of our webpage. This is amazing for a small church. Our message is getting out literally around the world.
The year ending closing program for Trinity Tots 2025-2026 school year will be Sunday May 17th, 2026 here in the sanctuary at 4:00PM. If you are free come and join in the celebration.
Mimi Divito’s grandaughter Kelsey Hernandez is fighting bone cancer and awaiting a match for a bone marrow transplant which would cure her. So far no one in her family is a match and the search continues. If you are interested in getting tested to see if you are a match speak with Mimi.
Kelsey is a life long Lutheran who was born and raised in Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Lauderdale. She was baptized and Confirmed there and served as both an acolyte and a cross bearer. She plans to start attending church here at Trinity and perhaps help with our media booth. Mimi has raise this young lady as well as her two sisters. They lost their mother while they were young. Kelsey has a great outgoing attitude with the hopes and dreams of any young woman. She will be graduating from home schooling this month and plans to attend South Florida State College to study nursing.
Nicholas Harris is a senior this year at Lake Placid High School and will be graduating on May 23, 2026. His favorite subject in school is math, specifically Calculus 1. After he graduates, Nicholas would like to get a job while also pursuing his AA degree. Then he would like to attend a local college and continue his education to obtain his Bachelor’s and maybe his Master’s degree. When he was asked what he wanted to be when he grew up Nicholas stated he wishes to become an aerospace engineer so he can design and work on different types of aircraft.
Nicholas also stepped right in here at Trinity when his family joined our church and volunteered to serve as our acolyte and help with ushering. He will be confirmed here at Trinity on May 30th, 2026.
So please take a moment and say a prayer for both Nicholas and Kelsey, that God would continue to bless these two Christ centers young individuals that they both continue using the gifts God has given to each of them. Graduation cards can be put in either Mimi’s or the Harris family church mailbox if you wish to congratulate them both upon their graduation.
Respectfully In Christ,
