All Members, Winter Residents, Family and Friends,

Greetings on this final Monday in October 2026!  It was announced yesterday following church that my intentions to retire on April 4th, 2027, the first Sunday after Easter.  This will allow the Church Council to start moving forward with my successor.  There are many different things that will fall into place over the next months.  Everyone working together can look forward to many more years of positive ministry and fellowship here at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lake Placid, Florida.

In my retirement letter I quoted a poster that hung in my band director’s office for many years.  The saying goes, “you are what you do, not what you could do.”  Far to many people talk up a storm but really never accomplish anything except thinking that they did great things when they accomplished nothing.  They are legends in their own minds!  I have always tried to live up to this implications of this statement and it has driven me forward in family, life and in ministry.  Perhaps this statement can motivate you to do what God wants you to do and not only talking about what you could do.  Step up and step out and do!

Tuesday I go to the third cardiologist for a consultation.  This consultation is about doing an arteriogram is a medical imaging test that uses X-rays and contrast dye to visualize the arteries and detect blockages or abnormalities.  If determined necessary a stent or two can be placed at the same time.

Well that is all for now.  Have a great week and see you Sunday at  10:00AM for worship.

          Step up! Step out! Do!
